# Connect Instagram via Facebook

> Link one or more Instagram professional accounts to Sheer through the Facebook Pages they're connected to.

Login with Facebook connects your Instagram through a Facebook Page. Use it when you:

* manage **several Instagram accounts** and want to connect them in one go, or
* want **repost counts** and **story link clicks**, which Instagram only shares through Facebook.

For a single account, [Login with Instagram](https://help.usesheer.com/connect/instagram.md) is simpler. The two logins are compared on the [overview page](https://help.usesheer.com/connect/overview.md).

> [!NOTE]
>
> Login with Facebook is only available from your Integrations page, not during onboarding. New users: connect with Instagram first to finish onboarding, then add the Facebook connection afterwards.

## Before you start

Each Instagram account you want to connect must be:

* a **professional account** (Business or Creator). [How to switch](https://help.usesheer.com/troubleshooting/switch-to-professional-account.md).
* **linked to a Facebook Page** that you manage. A Page is not the same as your personal Facebook profile. Part 1 below shows how to link them.

## Part 1: Link your Instagram to a Facebook Page

Do this on your phone in the Instagram app. Skip it if your Instagram is already linked to a Page.

**1. Open Edit profile**

In the Instagram app, go to your profile and tap **Edit profile**.

**2. Tap Create or connect page**

Scroll down and tap **Create or connect page** (on some accounts it's under **Page**).

**3. Log in with Facebook**

Tap **Log in with Facebook** and continue with the Facebook account that manages your Page.

**4. Choose a Page**

Select the Page you want to link, or tap **Create new Facebook Page** and give it a name and category.

## Part 2: Connect to Sheer

Do this on a laptop or desktop computer.

**1. Open your Integrations page**

Log in to Sheer and go to [app.usesheer.com/settings/sheer\_user/integrations](https://app.usesheer.com/settings/sheer_user/integrations).

**2. Click Connect with Facebook**

It's under the **Instagram** section. You're sent to Facebook. Log in with the Facebook account that manages your Page.

**3. Choose which Pages Sheer can access**

Facebook asks which Pages to share. Pick **Opt in to current Pages only** and select every Page that's linked to an Instagram account you want on Sheer.

If you've connected before, click **Edit previous settings** to get back to this choice.

**4. Choose which Instagram accounts Sheer can access**

Pick **Opt in to current Instagram accounts only** and select the accounts you want to connect.

**5. Approve the permissions and save**

Keep every permission enabled, then click **Continue** and **Save**. You're sent back to Sheer.

## How to know it worked

On your Integrations page, each connected Instagram account appears under **Instagram (Facebook)** with a **Connected** badge. Stats show up within a few minutes.

## Still not working?

* **"Instagram account not connected to the correct facebook page."** The Page you selected isn't linked to an Instagram account, or you didn't select the Instagram account in the second step. Redo Part 1, then connect again and make sure you tick both the Page and the Instagram account.
* **Your Instagram account isn't in the list.** It's not linked to any of your Pages, or it's still a personal account. Fix that first.
* **The account shows "Missing permissions".** Connect again and keep every permission enabled.
* **Anything else.** Email [support@usesheer.com](mailto:support@usesheer.com) with your Instagram username and the name of your Facebook Page.
