# Connect TikTok

> Link your TikTok account to Sheer so your profile, videos and audience stats update automatically.

## Before you start

* Use a **laptop or desktop computer**.
* Have your TikTok login ready. If you log in with a code sent to your phone, keep your phone nearby.

## Connect

**1. Click Connect with TikTok**

During onboarding, click **Connect** next to TikTok on the **Connect your social accounts** screen. Later, use **Connect with TikTok** on your [Integrations](https://app.usesheer.com/settings/sheer_user/integrations) page under **TikTok**.

You're sent to TikTok.

**2. Log in and check the account**

Log in to TikTok. If TikTok shows an account that isn't the one you want to connect, click **Switch account** and log in with the right one.

**3. Authorise Sheer**

TikTok lists what Sheer will be able to read: your profile, stats, videos and insights. Keep everything enabled and click **Authorize**.

> If you remove any of the permissions, Sheer can't sync your account. It will show as **Missing permissions**.

## How to know it worked

On your Integrations page, your TikTok account appears under **TikTok** with a **Connected** badge. Your profile and recent videos show up within a few minutes.

>
> TikTok releases reach and full insights for a video 24 to 48 hours after it's posted. New videos show up right away, but their stats fill in over the following two days.

## Still not working?

* **Reach or insights are missing on a new video.** That's normal. TikTok releases them 24 to 48 hours after posting. Check back in a day or two.
* **The wrong account connected.** Open TikTok, go to **Settings and privacy**, **Security and permissions**, **Apps and services** and remove Sheer. Then connect again and use **Switch account** on the TikTok login screen.
* **The account shows "Missing permissions".** Connect again and keep every permission enabled.
* **Anything else.** Email [support@usesheer.com](mailto:support@usesheer.com) with your TikTok username.
