# Switch to an IG business account

> This guide will show how to switch your personal Instagram into a business account.

<Note>
  We do not support smartphones for this process and recommend using a computer.

## Switch your personal Instagram to a business account

<Steps>
  <Step title="Step One">
    Open your phone and go to your Instagram app
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Two">
    Tap on your **profile picture** in the bottom right corner
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Three">
    Tap on <Icon icon="bars" iconType="solid" /> in the top right corner
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Four">
    Navigate to **Account type and tools**
  </Step>

  <Step title="Step Five">
    Tap on **Switch to professional account** and follow the steps
  </Step>

  <Step title="Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉">
    You now have an Instagram business account!
