# What your connection status means

> Connected, Missing permissions, Not connected or Reconnect required: what each status means and how to fix it.

Every social account you've connected shows a status badge on your [Integrations](https://app.usesheer.com/settings/sheer_user/integrations) page and in the **Connection status** column on **My creators**. Brands and agencies see the same badge next to your name. Hover over it for a short explanation and a button that takes you to the fix.

| Badge | What it means | What to do |
| - | - | - |
|  **Connected** | Sheer can read your stats. They update daily. | Nothing. |
|  **Missing permissions** | The account is connected, but you turned off a permission Sheer needs. Followers, reach and engagement can't update until it's on. | Instagram: [turn insights access back on](https://help.usesheer.com/troubleshooting/instagram-data-not-showing.md). TikTok or YouTube: [reconnect](https://help.usesheer.com/troubleshooting/reconnect-your-account.md) and keep every permission enabled. |
|  **Reconnect required** | The platform no longer accepts Sheer's access. This happens when your login expires, you change your password, or you remove Sheer from your connected apps. |  **Not connected** | No social account is linked to this profile, so there's nothing to sync. | [Connect an account](https://help.usesheer.com/connect/overview.md). |

>
> Only you can connect or reconnect your own accounts. A brand or agency that works with you can see the status but can't fix it for you.

## Stats look wrong or out of date?

* **Connected, but a post is missing.** Posts update daily. Content from the last few hours may not be in yet.
* **TikTok reach or insights are missing on a recent video.** TikTok releases reach and full insights 24 to 48 hours after a video is posted.
* **Connected, but Instagram stats are empty.** Check for **Missing permissions** first. If the badge says Connected and the stats are still empty after a day, email [support@usesheer.com](mailto:support@usesheer.com).
